Delicious and easy apple cinnamon bites made with jumbo biscuits and apple pie filling, perfect for a quick dessert or snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can jumbo biscuits (five count)
- 3/4 cup apple pie filling, apples cut into small pieces (see notes)
- 4 tablespoons butter
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Put the apple pie filling in a bowl and use a knife to slice through the apples to make the pieces smaller.
- Divide each biscuit into two parts.
- Roll each piece of dough into a ball, then flatten them to ¼ inch thick.
- Scoop about 1 tablespoon of filling into the middle of the circle of dough.
- Pinch the dough together around the filling. Repeat for all the dough.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or put a piece of parchment paper on the bottom. Place the bites in the air fryer basket, keeping about 1 inch between them.
- Air fry at 350 degrees F for 8-10 minutes.
- While they cook, mix the sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Set aside.
- Melt the butter in another bowl and set aside.
- When they are golden brown, remove the apple bites and let them cool slightly.
- Dip each apple bite in the melted butter and then roll them in the cinnamon sugar.
- Let them cool on a wire rack for a little longer.
Notes
- Ensure apples are diced small enough for filling to fit in dough.
