Ingredients

- 1 pound steak (sirloin, ribeye, or flat iron), cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon neutral oil (for searing)
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Cut steak into bite-sized cubes and toss with cornstarch until lightly coated.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over high heat. Sear steak in batches, 2–3 minutes per side, until browned and crispy.
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
- Pour sauce into skillet with steak. Stir well to coat all pieces.
- Simmer sauce for 2–4 minutes until thick and glossy.
- Drizzle with sesame oil and toss to coat.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, let the steak marinate in the soy sauce mixture for 30 minutes before cooking.
- Serve with rice or noodles for a complete meal.
