Description

Delicious honey garlic chicken tenders that are perfectly seared and glazed.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 pounds chicken tenders
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken tenders dry with paper towels so they sear instead of steam.
  2. Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder, then toss with the flour until evenly coated.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat and sear the chicken tenders for 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden; transfer to a plate.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium, add the butter to the same skillet, and stir in the minced garlic, cooking just until fragrant.
  5. Whisk in the honey, chicken broth, soy sauce, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes and let the sauce bubble for 1 to 2 minutes to thicken slightly.
  6. Return the chicken tenders and any juices to the pan, turning them in the sauce and simmering for another 3 to 4 minutes until cooked through and glazed.
  7. Sprinkle with chopped parsley, taste and adjust seasoning, and serve the chicken tenders hot with extra sauce spooned over the top.

Notes

  • This dish can be served over rice or with a side of vegetables.
