Description

Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry (thawed)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 2 medium jalapenos (sliced (fresh or pickled))
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 large egg (beaten for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, sliced jalapenos, and garlic powder. Stir until smooth and creamy.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to about 1/4 inch thick and cut into strips approximately 2 inches wide.
  4. Place a spoonful of the filling on one half of each pastry strip, being careful not to overfill.
  5. Fold the pastry over the filling, press the edges firmly to seal, then twist each strip into a spiral shape.
  6. Arrange the prepared twists on the baking sheet with space between them, then brush each one with beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the twists are puffed and golden brown.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving warm with dipping sauces like ranch or sriracha mayo.
