- 1 package puff pastry (thawed)
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 2 medium jalapenos (sliced (fresh or pickled))
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 large egg (beaten for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, sliced jalapenos, and garlic powder. Stir until smooth and creamy.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to about 1/4 inch thick and cut into strips approximately 2 inches wide.
- Place a spoonful of the filling on one half of each pastry strip, being careful not to overfill.
- Fold the pastry over the filling, press the edges firmly to seal, then twist each strip into a spiral shape.
- Arrange the prepared twists on the baking sheet with space between them, then brush each one with beaten egg.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until the twists are puffed and golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving warm with dipping sauces like ranch or sriracha mayo.
