Delicious pulled chicken subs with white BBQ sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup white BBQ sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 4 soft hoagie rolls
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 1 large ripe tomato, sliced
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or oven to medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Cook until golden brown and fully cooked (about 6-7 minutes per side).
  2. In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, cider vinegar, honey (or brown sugar), and smoked paprika until smooth.
  3. Once chicken is cooked, let rest for five minutes before shredding it using two forks.
  4. Mix shredded chicken with the white BBQ sauce until well coated.
  5. Assemble subs by placing shredded chicken on hoagie rolls and topping with lettuce, tomato slices, and onion rings.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add hot sauce to the white BBQ sauce mixture.
