Ingredients

- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 0 tsp salt
- 2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 cup softened unsalted butter
- 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 3 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Cream the Butter and Sugar: Beat softened butter and sugar for 3–4 minutes until pale and fluffy.
- Add the Eggs: Mix in eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: Whisk flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Mix into wet ingredients gently.
- Chill the Dough: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Coat the Dough Balls: Roll into 1-inch balls and coat thoroughly in cinnamon sugar.
- Bake: Bake at 350°F for 9–11 minutes until edges are lightly golden.

- Ensure the butter is softened for better mixing.
- Chilling the dough helps to prevent the cookies from spreading too much while baking.
