Description

Delicious cinnamon sugar cookies that are soft and chewy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 cup softened unsalted butter
  • 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Cream the Butter and Sugar: Beat softened butter and sugar for 3–4 minutes until pale and fluffy.
  2. Add the Eggs: Mix in eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: Whisk flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Mix into wet ingredients gently.
  4. Chill the Dough: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  5. Coat the Dough Balls: Roll into 1-inch balls and coat thoroughly in cinnamon sugar.
  6. Bake: Bake at 350°F for 9–11 minutes until edges are lightly golden.

Notes

  • Ensure the butter is softened for better mixing.
  • Chilling the dough helps to prevent the cookies from spreading too much while baking.
