Description
A deliciously sweet cinnamon sugar toast made with buttery brioche or Texas toast.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 slices thick-cut bread (like brioche or Texas toast)
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
- In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and a tiny pinch of salt. Mix until smooth and well blended. It should look like a cinnamon-scented spreadable paste.
- Lay your slices of bread on the prepared baking sheet. Generously spread the cinnamon sugar butter over each slice, going all the way to the edges so no corner is left dry.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the butter mixture is bubbling and the edges of the bread start to crisp up.
- Turn the oven to broil and broil the toast for 1–2 minutes, just until the tops get golden and slightly caramelized. Keep an eye on it—this part goes fast.
- Remove from oven and let the slices cool slightly before serving. The cinnamon sugar will set into a crackly, shiny top layer. Slice into triangles or serve whole with a warm drink.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider using vanilla extract in the butter mixture.
- This toast is best served warm and can be paired with coffee or tea.
