This homemade apple jam is delicious and perfect for preserving the taste of fresh apples!

- 6 cups finely chopped apples
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Peeled, core, and finely chop the apples into small pieces.
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and stir in the brown sugar. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until bubbly and thickened slightly.
- Add the apples, cinnamon, lemon juice, and salt. Stir well and cook for 15–20 minutes, stirring often, until the mixture thickens and the apples are soft.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Let cool slightly, then transfer the jam into clean jars.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or process in a water bath canner for longer shelf life.
Notes
- This jam can be stored in the refrigerator for a short time or processed for longer preservation.
- Adjust sugar to taste based on the sweetness of the apples used.
