Description
A delicious creamy garlic chicken dish with crushed tomatoes and fresh basil.
Ingredients

- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half)
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Add chicken breasts and sear until golden brown on both sides (about 5 minutes per side). Remove from pot.
- Add crushed tomatoes and chicken broth to the pot, stirring well.
- Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer gently for about 10 minutes.
- Lower heat and mix in heavy cream until combined. Let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Shred cooked chicken using forks, then return to the pot and stir well.
- Serve hot with fresh basil on top.

- This dish pairs well with pasta or rice.
- For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
